The backstory of the Lost Colony that was presented by
My Roanoke Nightmare
was a fictional account told through the lens of Sidney - who no more knows what actually happened to the colony than anyone else. Granted, it was supposedly based on Cricket's traveling back in time with the Witch of the Wood in other words, it was a load of manure made up by a fake psychic.
So my guess is that the stand-alone Episode 10 will give us a different "real" backstory about the Lost Colony at least I hope so, because for a season based on the mystery of the Lost Colony, there has been disappointingly little about the actual mystery of the Lost Colony.

That's a good idea I gotta say. It should end with the "sole survivor" of the series being shown in the real historical period (sort of a Shining-esque ending).
