You are exactly right. I just posted the same thing in another thread. They just revealed information that continued a story. No twist.

That's not a twist though. It's a reveal, but it doesn't challenge or change anything we know.

The twist is that everyone died and one survives.

I think the twist is we assumed we were watching another docudrama,
Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell
. The twist (such as it was) is that the episode was never completed or aired. What we thought was the sequel is in fact found footage of those three nights where everyone was killed one by one except for a lone survivor.
