seriously, its like every character this season does one DUMB thing after another. I dont remember people from other seasons being THIS dumb!
Matt and Shelbys constant denial of the supernatural despite everything they have seen? it took them THIS long to finally accept whats going on?
Their decision to move from civilization into a backwater area in the middle of NOWHERE in a creepy UGLY ass, ancient house surrounded by rednecks. You would think MATT of all people would see this as a redflag and avoid such a place. DUMBASS.
Shelbys constant running into the woods, chasing after Katy Bates into the creepy woods, taking a bath outside at NIGHT, in the creepy woods, calling the police on her own SISTER-IN-LAW who only came to help and protect her.(ungrateful b!tch)
Lee deciding to bring her daughter back into this haunted creepy house, even after the home invasion/creepy things that went down previously? (really)
Matt spending all his savings to buy that house, just to prove a point? thats not being masculine thats being RETARDED!!! Shelby getting turned on by THAT? (freak)
The Chen family playing childrens game in the woods with 2 serial killers, a pig-man and 2 little girlsREALLY?? is that something they would really be doing as ghosts?? WTF was that scene about?
Dennis O Harris character hiding in the woods for monthsreally? does that seem logical? any sane person would have packed up and run far away!! im surprised he wasnt murdered a long time ago. And how did the Butcher not catch him all those years hes been hiding out?
Lees daughterhow old is she? does she have a birth defect? she decided to befriend a ghost who reveals to later killing her family, and she just goes o like its no big deal? she gets kidnapped or follows Priscilla leaving her parents behind. Does she NOT care? or is she being hypnotised throughout? shes not a toddler for heavens sake! And shes boring as hell. They should have killed her off, then she and her BFF can be together in the afterlife. (she obviously doesnt give a damn about her family)Stupid children.

At this stage I'm assuming the house has some sort of invisible 'pull' that attracts certain people and makes them feel like they should stay. That's the only explanation I can think of for them still being there after all the beep that's gone down.

That is a virtually unsellable house (with or without the haunting.) He was a sucker to have bought it. Essentially, their only option, as you said, is to abandon it and find a place to rent somewhere. The $40K is flushed down the toilet.
