No. I think it was about him being a skeptic rather than him just being a man. The Taiwanese man was a believer along with his whole family and tried to cast the evil out.

So, basically, she'd go for whoever the current male homeowner is, to corrupt them into murdering their families? Wonder if she seduced the Taiwanese gentleman, when he was still alive. XD

It's not about his looks or any sexual quality he might or might not have. She wants his soul, so she's trying to seduce him into being completely under her control. She probably wants to enchant him into killing his family and/or himself. Since he's a skeptic, he's probably easier to fool. He's not prone to accepting that she's a supernatural being and isn't savvy enough to fear her.
