Very true, and with a 22-episode show, there's more chances of expanding the world presented in the book.

Probably "new gods" aspect of the things will be presented via Mr World character. Because in the books we don't have much clue about what's going on in their group. I guess the focus on him will sort that out.

There's plenty of moments in the book when it's just him. But yeah, the show will have a lot of extra stuff(I read somewhere that Season 1 ends at the House on the Rock)

But I can't really recall a point where Mr. World is ever actually seen before the big reveal. Granted the show more than likely has more scenes than the book.

To preserve the fact that
they are actually both the same person/deity for those who aren't familiar with the book(and keep in mind that said deity IS a shapeshifter, so it makes sense)

Because Crispin Glover will be phenomenal as Mr. World.
