It's true. Nothing pisses me off more than threatening to kill a cat because the owner is too beep stupid or simply doesn't care enough to take care of them properly. What they fail to realize is that objectively, their life is in no way worth more than that of their animal. In fact, most of the time their lives are worth less than that of their cat.
If one of them has to be put down it's the lazy, ignorant, waste of space that owns them, not the cat.

I have found some people to be truly unpleasant on this show, especially the ones who declawed their cats. EVIL AND STUPID! But the show cat couple with Snickers?? HORRIFIC! URGH they did not care one bit for their cat. She kept saying: "Oh it would be good to win more things for Snickers" FOR SNICKERS??? Snickers doesn't care one bit about winning a competition, it's all for you. URGH I don't know why people put animals in these vile competitions. URGH.

I think you're right in saying that the problems lie with the owners rather than the cats. Some of the owners are downright infuriating. For example one person was sold on the idea of getting rid of the cat mainly because it kept peeing in the house (on the wall etc), turns out they didn't even bother to have a litter tray.
What's that about? If I recall correctly they also didn't like letting the cat leave the house so where the hell was the cat supposed to go to the toilet.Dumb.

i agree. the reasons people dump their cats at the shelters are so stupid. or i should say MOST of them are stupid excuses.
people will dump their cats because they are moving. dumping a cat they had for over 10 years because they want to move and dont want to take the poor cat.
when i volunteered at a shelter, i had a woman call and say she wants to trade her cat for a kitten. cause she likes kittens better.
people that declaw their cats, and the cat starts having litter problems cause it hurts to use their litter, or starts biting. cats that have been declawed, usually start biting, since they know they can't use their nails.

Yes, I watched that episode last night with the deaf and mostly blind cat. It was so good to see the change in the cat after Jackson worked with the owners.

Willto, I couldn't agree more! Although I do think that the two ladies who owned the blind and deaf cat on the show tonight felt that the cat was miserable. It's great that Jackson Galaxy was able to help!
