This episode had me seething with rage. This guy had a wonderful cat (Dexter) who was loyal, kind, and so sweet. It is true that constant meowing can be a mildly irritating, but even that is a relative non-issue. This dude was just extremely anxious and rife with negative energy. Instead of addressing the fact that his own demeanor was a cause behind his many hospitalizations, he had to blame his poor cat! Furthermore, when his girlfriend was articulating her happiness with Dexter's behavior, he refuted her claims and attempted to undermine her very valid observations. Simply put, this dude was a d to the ouche. Poor Dexter and poor girlfriend.

yes my heart truly goes out to him for having Crohn's Disease and criticising him is not going to help but I think he should work on being more positive and tolerant. He's lucky to have such a sweet girlfriend and cat! And he says the cat is about a year old and he's been in and out of hospital 15 times over the past TWO years, as if it's the cat's fault, but the cat wasn't even alive for that whole time!!! I think the problem is he just got the cat to make him feel better and not out of love for the cat.

I suffer from depression and my cats are actually highly therapeutic, as pets often are. In addition to them not having to put on a fake smiling face or even shower for them, having lazy-ass time on the couch together is one of the few times I can just live in the moment, which is a huge hurdle for the depressed.

What episode was this? I have Crohn's Disease and stress can cause flair ups, it also could be other factors. However, depression is a huge factor as well and can make someone not think straight when trying to find blame for something that can't be controlled all the time

That guy is bona fide toxic with a bad case of hypochondria. Oh my goodness, and he just shut the gf down, he needs to go to a hospital and stay there, never to be let out ever. What a weirdo.

You said it!!! I have a friend who suffers from severe Crohn's symptoms, but her outlook is miles more positive than that sack of dicks.
And is it just me, or was the guy really an android?

I have Crohn's as well, so I wanted to feel some empathy for him. But nope. He was just a sack of dicks. Once that cat dies, he's going to start blaming something else.

He was such a weenie. That garden gnome had chrohns before Dexter and even Jackson reacted with disgust.

The jerk wouldn't even put the toilet seat down. But blamed the cat on everything. Sure, it can be annoying to cattify your space for a cat but just putting down the toilet seat is the easiest thing to do if ur worried about spreading disease

Why didn't he just get good quality sound canceling headphones? I honestly feel more sorry for neighbors if the cat is really loud. It's one thing to put up with your own loud cat but someone else's that's another story.

Lol,I was coming on the board just to start a topic simalar to yours. While I do indeed sympathize with the man,I feel like he was putting the blame on the cat for everything bad that happened. I'm suprised he did not blame 9/11 on the poor kitty too. Even the host,(forgot his name) was looking at him at one point thinking "did I really waste my time & this camera crews time on this case?" Silly, that couple looked extremly tense and unhappy,at certain momentsit looked like the gf wanted to break down & cry.
