That happens on message boards. Presumably everyone has taken a break at the same tine. It used to happen at MSN, one minute it was flowing, and then I made a post and it stopped the board. I used to think that it was because they were all thinking about what I had said.

well evedently my wife watched the rest of episode one and all of episode two after i sacked out and she is hooked! she also said truman was a huge asshole at one point to the women…must be about the unfalttering things you touched upon.
i will say that i too found the choice of subject matter a bit odd as i had no idea of the situation. and i agree that the younger crowd might pre judge the sho based on that. but i also agree that the cast along with ryan murphy's popularity, could draw some of the kiddies in.
it will be (hopefully) very interesting to see how the sho and its reception all plays out

When I Google it, I see that the Swans were a group of high profile socialites.
Truman Capote wrote some unflattering things about them at at one point. Hence the feud.
I know of some of these women by name and reputation. I remember hearing of them when I was a child.
I have to wonder if there will be much interest from the younger set.
I suppose that I'm being unfair when I say that. The cast alone may draw in veiwers of all ages. I'm impressed.
Since this feud is something I was unaware of until now, I want to learn more about it.

i knew absolutely nothing about it also margo. i pretty much knew that truman was a homosexual author and very eccentric…never heard of these women or the realtionship they all shared. like you…i just saw the trailer and am somewhat familiar with the sho runners work from other offerings. ive watched almost the entire first episode and must say i will continue. great acting and strong production values along with intersting characters? I'm in!!!

I watched the Bette/Joan feud too, and thought it was pretty good. Amusing too!
I've been seeing the new ads on Hulu About Capote and the Swans. I'm unfamiliar with that feud, but the trailers look interesting. I'll probably check it out.

The good ole days amirite? The cordless phones or super long stretched out phone cords, using paper maps, waiting until summer reruns for missed shows? Yep not sure I miss them days LOL but feel the nostalgia. ️

remember phone calls that lasted over an hour? actually missing a tv sho? how about going to see a movie before the hype hit?

YES! and if i really like the sho i can can review it in anticipation…maybe even discuss it with friends as we all wait til the next…like we used to do in the olden days

I didn’t finish the first season but am thinking of restarting it from the beginning. I am spoiled on binging so I don’t want to wait either. However weekly episodes gives me time to ponder and I remember things better that way. Old age, eh?

silly me started watching prior to realizing it was not a completed body of work…i hate waiting LOL!
i did the same with season 5 of fargo. luckily it was close to being complete.
ryan murphy tends to put together really impressive ensembles i find. did you watch the first season?

i thought i remembered discussing the first season here as well…but i thought maybe it was over at MC. my only real complaint was that they chose not to give susan blue contacts or alter her big brown eyes to match bettes big blu ones.
what made me think of it is that in the new season naomi watts has brown eyes and due to this i hardly recognosed her.
not at all familiar with capote…but i must say that what ive watched so far is very engaging!

We certainly spoke about it here somewhere Df as I remember discussing it and Lange's great performance. It was released post-Trump pre-covid so it must have been on the general boards here.
Maybe it was at that other place?
