<h2>The cotillion class scene and following montage was designed to match a piece of music.<br />
The song is a 1986 rap song called 'Def Fresh Crew' by Roxanne Shant &amp; Biz Markie.  From the song title to the first words, "We came here tonight to get started.  To act cold ill or get retarded," to 20+ references within the 5-mins segment including the vocals stopping when Pauline goes to the library and the song stopping the second she crosses the threshold of her parents' home.<br />
