I've been watching since it started. To me they are all insane all in their own way. The quality has not gone down.
I don't get it

What hate? I just see deserved and consistent high ratings. If you're referring to just IMDB message boards then learn to ignore it, Mos Eisley has a better reputation for clientele.

I've only seen the first episode of series (season?) 3. I was disappointed. No surprises, very 'linear', even the title tells you what is going to happen. Perhaps I'd feel differently about it if I had thousands of facebook friends and posted photos of my food.

It's considered "de rigeur" to criticize everything American, even though many of the absolute best movies and series in the world are produced in the US, and the entire world is watching them.

Because it's now produced by Netflix, an American company, whereas before it was produced by a British company for British TV's Channel 4. Some people feel the show has been "Americanized" and that the quality has suffered for it.
I thought it, for the most part, felt like classic Black Mirror, and the only episodes that didn't feel that British to me were Nosedive, which I thought was fairly good, and San Junipero, which was amazing, but very American. I thought all the episodes were at least good, and episodes 3, 4, and 6 are among the best they've ever done.
