I work in F&B, and I know the majority of the industry smokes, but somms I haven't encountered that. Just post exam, "Dad" is being filmed talking to sports somm, and there's marlboro lights on the desk. I find it hard to believe a master somm candidate would smoke. Maybe immediately post exam as a F-U, but anyone have thoughts on this?

I would think it would be a bad idea to be a smoker. As a former smoker myself, I can tell you that smoking dulls your senses of taste and smell.which would be disastrous to someone in this profession, I would think.
