And focused more on pleasing his woman to put her in his projects and less on pleasing the actual audience/fans!

Knock Knock was enjoyable, havn't seen The Green Inferno yet

You either love his sense of humor or you don't. Gore contrasted with absurd humor like Winston the Party Man or kid yelling pancakes and doing a sweet ninja move.. You get it or you don't. Something amazingly witty is just lame from the wrong lens.take something like Aquateen Hunger Force for example.

I really don't understand how anyone liked Cabin Fever. Mediocre indie virus movie. Hostel wasn't very great either.
Green Inferno was much better. A movie made for lovers of the old cannibal classics.

I disagree with most of you guys. Green Inferno was good, but Knock Knock indeed sucked. Keanu Reeves was the only good thing about it. The story and the other characters sucked. Green Inferno had all the elements, I don't know why people disliked it.

Fair enough then but I love the show. The Mrs. and I both do. Its pacing is a bit off sometimes, and I don't care for the African American bro and sis hunters, but the atmosphere is intoxicating if you let yourself go into their world. I couldn't wait to see what the doc was hiding in the vat, sorry proper terminology has slipped since I last watched. Then what happened to Shelley was mind blowing. Eh just my take.

No, I don't think it is necessarily associated with the quality of the show, but I do think Netflix is embarrassed by the low quality of the show. Why else would they bury the final season? We also don't know if the ratings for Hemlock Grove are bad (the only info ever released on them indicated they were good) as Netflix does not make revenue from in-show advertisements.
The reviews are also SO bad and so abundant that one has to take note. Keep in mind, I am one of the biggest Famke Janssen fans out there, so I was pumped and promoting the show everywhere (that is until I saw it). I would also include Cabin Fever in my top 100 favourite horror films of all time, so it's not like I have some bias against those involved. I just truly think it is a terrible show.
First review for season 3 is in, and, what a shock, it's horrible. Never could have predicted that one!

I couldn't care less about ratings, which ultimately leads to cancellations. If you need someone with an agenda to tell you a show is good that's your choice. Johnny Depp has never won an Oscar, and I think he's a greatest of all time..

How can my opinion be wrong? It's just an opinion on something subjective. The acting, writing, cinematography are horrific. I can give you specific examples for each even.

This makes little to no sense. What does a show being cancelled have to do with my taste? Huh? If you think Hemlock Grove is a good show YOU have no taste whatsoever.
Roth has very little involvement in the show, so even he wanted to back out (why would he?) the show could continue without him. Why did Netflix bury the release of the current season (the trailer went up just two weeks before it premieres)?
Sure, you can make up all the excuses you want, but the evidence starts to add up that Netflix was embarrassed by Hemlock Grove:

• Horrible critical reception for the show
• Episode count reduced to 10 after first season
• First Netflix Original show to be cancelled
• Final season being released without promotion
• The planned book series was also cancelled

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. That's your opinion, fine. I find it an amazingly fresh horror spin with mystery as enchanting as Twin Peaks. If being cancelled means it's bad you have no taste whatsoever. Season 3 wraps up the show, and has been planned as such for over a year. It's entirely possible Roth wants to complete it and move on, or that Famke Jansen feels the same.

Check out Hemlock Grove? It's horribly written, filmed, and acted mess. It's the first Netflix Original show to be canceled. Netflix is clearly embarrassed by that mess as they reduced the episode count, canceled it after season 2, and now are basically burying the release of season 3.

You should check out Hemlock Grove before writing him off. I'm a long time fan of ER and it will probably go down in my book as his best work. Jury is still out on that as the final season, 3, is about to be released. And the people showing up to bash ER are just like soooooooo lame.
