There ara not enough people who gets what the real sci-fi is nowadays, sadly. The new generation likes this pointless movie, because it tries to be auteur and art-housy, but turns out only a pretentious garbage which soon will be forgotten forever.

I couldn't care less about supporting cinema's. They are full of annoying people. Most movies are ruined as a result. Phones ringing. People talking. Not to mention the crappy seats. Such a bad experience most of the time. I only visit IMAX cinema's every now and then.
I got my own setup with better sound and image quality than most normal cinema's. I'm gladly waiting 2-3 months post release to see the movies at home. With 100% control over image and sound. No noisy people and the perfect chair(s) with leg elevation, and the option to pause if needed.

Some of us weren't tricked tho, some of us support ALL sci-fi in cinemas so that cinemas continue to show sci-fi.

I think you're right, because everyone I know have rated this below 6, many below 3. We're talking 15+ people who watch loads of movies.

Not sure why couldn't hear it. There are plenty of ways in which to see this film and be able to HEAR it. Movie theater, headphones, surround sound?
The score was incredible.
The flashFORWARDS of the daughter had EVERYTHING to do with the plot. She was seeing the future! Granted, it took me a second viewing to figure that out, but still. They were critical to the plot. At first I thought they were flashbacks because that is usually the device in dramatic films like this. I was impressed with the 'twist' of these sequences actually being future-trips.
When the daughter asked "what did you know?" the answer was that she knew she was going to get sick and die from her illness. they didn't show her answering her daughter because we can figure that out for ourselves. she's likely not going to tell her daughter she's going to die, at such a young age. we don't need to see her response to understand that.

I submit that you missed several important points in the movie, based off of your post. If you couldn't hear it properly, then that goes a long way to not enjoying it, trust me.. I am deaf. I have watched movies in the past that I couldn't hear very well and thought they were utter crap, until I watched them again with headphones on, only to find out it was actually a really good movie (watchmen for example).
The "flashbacks" about her daughter, were in fact not flashbacks at all, but flashforwards. You obviously missed this crucial point to the story and arguably the big "Ah-ha!" moment.
Then again, maybe you wouldn't have liked it if you could hear it properly each to their own.

Well, you're exaggerating just as much as the fans are, there are good things about the movie too, so if you recognise how dishonest your 1 rating is then you'll understand why it has 8.3
