Just got back from the cinema and massively underwhelmed. Directing/acting/Cinematography and sound design was brilliant, except you need a good story, or rather any story to make it a good film. People on here calling it a classic are either too young to know better (a 22 year old calls it a masterpiece compared to the 4 sci fi films he's seen in the last 7/8 years!!), on the hype train, or just the usual imdb paid for reviews.
This film is like an amalgamtion of Solaris, Contact, Independance Day, Interstellar, The Tree Of Life, The Fountain and Mr Nobody all rolled into one, constantly conflicting with eachother.
Because it tries to hard to be all of them it ends up just being a shallow mess.
The film feels so rushed it's like someone hit fast forward a third way into the film then put it back to normal speed right at the end. Then the whole cinema crowd goes Wtf Yawn.
