I felt that was answered in the movie. You see her pre-reliving all the wonderful memories she was going to have. That was the point - you can't live your life in fear of bad things that are going to happen, you have to enjoy things while you can.

She can re-live those years with her over and over and over again, so I guess it is worth it.

I don't know what I would do if faced with that situation. In the movie however, her character states something along the lines that the limited time she had with her daughter was worth it.

Why would she have a child if she knows it will die in a young age?
Would you have a baby knowing it's going to die?

I disagree. While it was not shown, I believe the scientist husband became disturbed and shocked that his wife (Amy) would choose to have a child knowing the daughter was going to suffer and die.
The husband likely felt it was wrong and selfish, and he couldn't bring himself to agree with the decision (although it was HIS - by saying "let's have a baby".
I don't think he can look at his daughter the same way again because her while life as death history was KNOWN by the mother (but she chose to keep it a secret until revealing later on).

I think she was honest up front with him about the fate of their daughter and they agreed to have the child anyway. That was the real point of the question- would he still have a daughter who was fated to die.

She was able to prove to him that she knew the future, one in which they had met and he had told her that information. Therefore, her knowledge that the aliens were not a threat was reliable and convincing.
