<p dir="auto">I felt that was answered in the movie. You see her pre-reliving all the wonderful memories she was going to have. That was the point - you can't live your life in fear of bad things that are going to happen, you have to enjoy things while you can.</p>

<p dir="auto">I don't know what I would do if faced with that situation. In the movie however, her character states something along the lines that the limited time she had with her daughter was worth it.</p>
