<p dir="auto">It just occurred to me, it's like the circle represents time on a clock face and the little splodges are events that happen on them at various times. Or is it not as simple as that?<br />

<p dir="auto">It's not so literal. The circularity of the pictogram indicates, as is explicated in the film, that their language and by extension their thought has no beginning or end.</p>
