I thought this film was a whole lot of blithely silly and campy fun.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

Sharknado was fun and entertaining. Sharknado has Tara Reid in it. She was on Letterman and talked about it at the time. I'd watch practically anything with her in it.
The problem with movies like Sand Sharks, Shark Night, Avalanche Sharks, Snow Shark, Swamp Shark, Mega Shark and Ghost Shark etc, is that they take themselves too seriously when the premise of the film is bloody ridiculous.
If you're going to make a serious shark film, Jaws, for example, then it needs a budget, a script and good actors to make the film work.
The movie Lake Placid is another good example of just that sort of thing.
In both Jaws and Lake Placid there is a great deal of comedic material which lightens the mood. This contrasts with the very scary moments when people are attacked.
In Ghost Shark there is nothing that comes to mind that was remotely funny or entertaining. I've been watching it now for an hour and it's completely forgettable.
Scientologists love Narnia, there's plenty of closet space.

Wait, did you just imply Sharknado was not forced? It was the most over-hyped, forced movie I have ever seen. It was boring and dull.. How it got recognition over the hundreds of very similar, far more entertaining Syfy movies, I will never know.

Yup. Everything in Sharknado was so damn stupid and cheesy that it was fun.
Ghost Shark is just all over the place and everything feels forced and random, even the actors seems confused about what is going on. Its also the beep and cheapest looking shark in any shark movie ever.

Totally! Ghost Shark is more consistently crazy and entertaining than Sharknado. No shark film has ever had plumbers dragged into pipes or toilet attacks (or, as you say, attacked via a small paper cup). Ghost Shark is the stuff of legend.
I sleep now.

It was crazy but come on man when have you send a shark kill a guy and split him in two out of a cup of coffee beep awesome!!! Lol

Sharknado was quite possibly the greatest thing SyFy has ever put out. It definitely blows this turd out of the water.

The cgi was terrible for even this and the acting and reactions were just as terrible!
Because we all know SyFy originals are known for their excellent CGI and acting.
