<p dir="auto">I didnt know this was a book and I'm not even sure why I had it in my Netflix queue. The scenery and acting is great. The story started to fall apart at/after the rape.<br />
Would have been a much different story/ending and (I think) better if she had whacked Stan in the face with the ax before he raped her, like as soon as he started coming closer.<br />
I would have preferred the aftermath of her emotions from that and us wondering "was he really going to hurt her?" This was just same ol' same ol' - woman is raped by creepy man come after them.</p>
