I just find OPs like that asinine. The movie has already been in theaters and now on video and the poster shows up shocked they didn't find something they are specifically curious about on the front page when every issue has been debated to death months ago already.
Its like showing up to a party 10 hours after it started and then shocked they ran out of food.

To answer the question do we really need to see a few minutes of scotty making his way down when it isn't an important part of the story telling. A movie would be 6 hours + long if they explained every single detail. Use your imagination maybe he found an easier section to climb down, maybe he found his way down without having to climb.

You do realize the movie opened 6 months ago already right? And there have been hundreds of threads since then. Just because it wasn't mentioned 6 months later doesn't mean it wasn't brought up champ.
