Im going to tell you the reason this diddnt do as well its very simple.I keep hearing people say why diddnt this do as well its simple. The first two abrams movies appealed to the main stream audience that diddnt like star trek they were blockbuster action versions of star trek which is fine everything can be fun.But after two popcorn movies getting a new audience beyond goes closer back to the style of the original series an feels like a star trek extended episode now is that bad not really but it looses the fans of the original 2 because of that. The next film from whats known will be a time travel story with kirks dad.Which is interesting an star trek time travel all ways dose well in theaters so im positive we will get at least one more because even though this under performed it still did descent enough an we will get atleast one more an if it dose well which im sure time travel trek will do well it will make money an i would like kligons as the villains in 4

Well one thing a lot of people could discover about Star Trek Beyond, was the extremely poor marketing of it, both on the internet and standard flow television all over the world.
Paramount better up them selves on those points regarding trailers with various short clips from the movie, to keep reminding people that this movie is coming and eventually exactly when it will come to a local theater near them.

I doubt it's that simple, I do not believe there is only one reason why Beyond failed, it's a combination of several different reasons.
