The one I like that everyone hates, is early work from him. It's very different from his other films. It's very slow (that's what people hate about it), but I thought it was quite beautiful.

Longlegs was the first film I've seen by him and after enjoying that one and The Monkey, I definitely need to watch the rest of his filmography. If it holds up, he could be up there with Eggers, Aster and Flanagan as far as contemporary horror directors go.

Horror films over do it and it’s way more graphic. Some action and thrillers might have a little bit of it but it’s not at least throughout the whole movie. Halloween was too much. If it’s a good enough storyline I usually just close my eyes at the gory scenes lol

Yeah, the monkey design itself was a cross between funny and creepy. I thought it was a fun movie, I definitely liked it. Seem it twice so far. Sometimes I'm not looking for something too cerebral and this didn't take itself terribly seriously and had fun kills, so I enjoyed it. I think I might just like the director's work as a whole, because I even like the one most people hate (I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House).

It was good. More of a comedy than a horror film, but a lot of gore, so probably avoid it if that's not your thing.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Loved the wickedly funny sense of pitch-black gallows humor and the outrageously gory deaths.
