Cause of all the current DC movies, Man of Steel is still better than any of them. And has the better potential to be even better.

Expanding their demographic?
I think they want more team movies so they can introduce more and more characters quicker. GOTHAM CITY SIRENS will introduce Poison Ivy and Catwoman, so now we don't have to wait for THE BATMAN or THE BATMAN 2, and so forth.
