The first half of the movie felt more darka and adult, like it was trying to emulate Nolans DK trilogy. "Trying" to have subtext about "modern times" and that kind of guff.
Then the second half turned into a saturday morning cartoon, where eveything is thrown on the screen for ADHD children, to get them all excited to buy toys. I felt kind of embarrassed to be watching it.
The whole film felt like cutscenes from a third-rate video game, followed by saturday morning kids cartoons.

a lot has to do with Snyder and the studio meddling. Snyder himself said that in his vision, Batman could get prison raped. Talk about homoeroticism and S$M. Snyder is a loon.
You're more advanced than a cockroach, ever tried explaining yourself to one of them?

Yeah I can see your point.
I'm in a state of confusion over how it could have been made the way it was. Particularly the story. How did it ever progress past the pitch stage? When the studio commissioned the script, did they not care at all what was in it? When someone gave the synopsis, how did anyone say "yeah, OK, why not"?
Its impossible to try and outline this film to someone without sounding like you're an excited 7 year old making it up on the spot. I'm not even sure it can actually be called a story, any more than the stream of consciousness torrent of poop than you might get from someone with a severe mental illness.

"forced" is an understatement.

It has what many call a dark tone but it really feels forced in this film say compared to The Dark Knight. To answer the question though the film is aimed to be family viewing with the main target range being between 12-15 year olds.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock

it's a movie designed for brain dead manchildren who need their mommies to feed them while they are watching.
