Why would the CIA put a tracking device in a camera that not only bleeps but flashes as well to draw attention to itself? Would it not be more prudent to make the tracking device actually look like a camera part and be hard to distinguish as a tracking device?
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock

One of my two big issues with that is why put the tracker in the camera in the first place? Doing so relies on the camera remaining with the undercover agent at all times. There'd be no way to guarantee something like that. The terrorists could take his camera and force him to use one of their own, or tell him "no pictures" or something.
Why not put the tracker in the sole of his shoe, or in his belt buckle, or any part of his kit that most likely would never be confiscated?
Better yet, put the tracker inside the agent's body, so wherever the agent goes, the tracker goes with him, even if he's stripped completely naked. Some sort of signal scanner might pick that up, but it would pick up the camera tracker, too, so that's a non-issue.
My second big issue is why/how did that henchman guy think to check the camera? Olson was carrying a camera bag, right? Why not check there first? Or check his clothes? He went straight for the camera, which Olson was operating normally. What reason would there be to suddenly be suspicious of there being a tracker in the camera? And not only suspicious, but so suspicious as to crush the film canister on the ground, even though from the outside, the film canister looks exactly like a film canister, with film and everything? Seems like he knew the tracker was there the whole time, but if so, we're not told how he would have known that, or given any insight into his intelligence of the situation.

Do professional photographers for newspapers still use film at all?
But also, good point.
An opinion is not offensive just because you do not agree with it.

Would Batman's tracking device even be seen? Technically it only has to make it to Lexcorp for Batman to realize Lex wanted it.

Now if you were to apply this to Batman's tracking device on the truck then by all means roll with it because that is a legitimate complaint that makes a lot more sense.

To be fair here, you are making up an issue where there isn't one. The tracking device wasn't outright bleeping or flashing externally. The tracking device was disguised as the inner spool of the film inside the roll of film that was inside the camera. Hidden away pretty well. It wasn't very obvious at all. KGB had to literally make / smash his way through the camera to find it.
Like I said yesterday to TJlamb there are plenty of legitimate reasons to downplay and pick this movie apart without the need of making things up to complain about.
Just putting that out there.

They're probably talking about how the film has that philosophical vibe. But I'd just ignore them.

It is which I would be fine with but a lot of the fanboys will try and tell you that the film is intellectual which is why in a so called intelligent movie would the CIA such an obvious tracking device?
