I really liked the way this movie was shot. It reminded me of a segment from VHS 2 and part of Doom. Can you give me suggestions for other movies shot in this way. I think it is really original and adds character to the whole movie!

Yes, the poster below this one suggested it, but you didn't reply, so I
am giving it another go.
I haven't seen this movie yet, but you asked for POV movies, and the only
"commercial" movie would be "Maniac" with Elijah Wood, BUT,
you mad a point to mention the ending segment of "Doom", so I
know EXACTLY what you are talking about. Well Sir, if you want the
BEST and possibly ONLY full on POV movie from start to finish,
then You HAVE to watch Hotel Inferno. It's Italian but the one I watched
was dubbed in English, which works perfect, since you never see anybody's
mouth moving! You never see the protagonists face even.
But besides all of that, this has to be the Fing coolest, bloodiest,
action-packed movie I have seen in quite awhile.
Not to mention the most original concept I have ever seen.
You may have to download it, not sure if its on Netflix or whatever, do what
you must to see it. The director of this has a couple of other movies but
none of them are POV. However, there is a movie that was made first, its called
Adam Chaplin(sp?), and the one I found I had to download. It again is Italian but
dubbed in German lol(I found one in Italian, FYI the German dub sounds way better,
whoever they got to do the German voiceovers was fantastic)
The main protagonist is actually the Director(the brother does all of the FX
it seems).
The movie, unlike the video game style of Hotel Inferno, very much reminds
me of a Anime like Fist of the North Star. If you are into the Ultra Violent
Anime style, this is right up your alley. I personally watch both Chaplin and
Inferno several times the week that I discovered them, they are that good, IMHO.

Hardcore with Sharlto Copley will be released next year, it looks by far the best POV movie, at least to me.

Maniac from 2012 with Elijah Wood. Havent seen the whole movie so cant say if it`s good or not. But he (Wood) is a psycho killer preying on hookers.

Yes that's what I asked for. Not found footage movies, but POV or mostly POV movies. Most of the found footage movies, I've already seen, and I like the genre. But POV is way cooler judging by what I've seen so far. Unfortunately there aren't many movies shot in that way. Hope that changes!

The point of found footage films isn't to have "more content". It's to create more realism in an unrealistic genre. In my opinion, 'Paranormal Activity' was frightening BECAUSE it didn't show anything - but instead simply created a suggestible state. The most frightening tool is your own mind, which is capable of drawing it's own monsters - far better than any movie could. So PA made a lot of sounds, it gave you stories and legends, and let your mind run the show. "More content" isn't scary, and if it is - what's scary is simply temporary and short-lived. Psychological horror burrows itself into your mind for days. I may not be scared of the first PA anymore (the sequels are horrible because they show too much), but my appreciation for it lives on.
Side note - Grace the Possession isn't a found footage movie. It's something else entirely, like the OP said - POV. There is no camera as part of the plot, just someone's eyes.

I really liked Noroi, it's got more content than 99% of found footage films combined.

"Noroi - The curse"
A Japanese film, one of the best of the genre of Hand Held/Found Footage Horrors, i highly recommend, it takes a little getting into, but once it kicks of its excellent.
One i watched recently
"The taking of Debroah Logan" was pretty good.
"The Poughkeepsie Tapes"
Found Footage about a serial killer. Very Graphic.
"Lake Mungo"
"[REC]"
"Grave Encounters"
There are 2 Turkish Horror films that are actually quiet good.
If you can find the subtitles id highly recommend
"Dabbe: Cin arpmasi" which is the 4th in the installment, no need to view the previous 3, i only watched 3+4.
"Dabbe: Bir cin vakasi"
"Dabbe: Cin arpmasi"
"Long Pigs"
The Genre has a lot of garbage, as all genres do, but these ought to get you started, they are some of the best, i say that with a love of good found footage movies.
It is no measure of health, to be well adjusted, to a profoundly sick society.
