Would you believe if I told you that I had figured it out 15 minutes BEFORE I even started watching the movie? I knew there had to be a twist somewhere and I had seen a "The Other" as a connection to this movie in the Wikipedia article, but I hadn't read the plot summary. The moment I saw The Other mentioned as a similar movie I thought "One of the brothers is dead".

I figured it out about 5 minutes in too. It was so obvious and cliche that I couldn't enjoy what was otherwise a brilliantly made film.

Well, when a movie is as slow and drawn out as this one is, I can understand someone taking a break from it. I certainly did.

Seriously don't give the OP a hard time for this. I figured it out only a few minutes later when they're eating. It was pretty obvious and it cheapened the rest of the movie because I started to question the boys early on rather than the mother whom was the supposed "bad guy". But that's the directors fault for editing the trailer the way he did.
