I dunno Loki. I disagree about Dakota and the other girl. I think the box
tricks the victim into being self-destructive and doing things to destroy themselves even if that means hurting the ones that they love. I'mnot even sure if Dakota lived. It seemed dubious because the black beighbor was still alive even though we saw earlier in a prior scene that the black neighbor killed herself. So how was the neighbor alive again to take out the trash? And what about the phone ringing like that? Seemed like Dakota either died, or/and was trapped in another reality or dimension.

It's just that she looked so "bring ot on" when she sat by the box at the end, right before we pan to her dead parents, so I rhink she really went for it with that box. YeH, I definitely think the box made her kill her parents. Dakota's character was fighting it all the time. I think that's the difference between them.

The most I could decipher about the girl at the end is
she was too afraid to trust anyone. She wrote something on the wall in blood about how she shouldn't trust anyone.
So I assume that she felt that way because when she let her guard down to let Dakota inside, she got
cursed. I'm guessing that she killed her parents because the box wanted her to?

It does leave it open for personal interpretation but I got the same thing from it that you did. About facing fears, and acceptance of fate.
Because she and the first lady did everything right, but the curse never got lifted. So the box actually has no real rules. I'm super curious about yhw girl she gave the box to. That girl seemed quite happy to keep the box and not be saved from it.

Ok I just finished it. What is this movie about?
It's scary and all. But it doesn't really explain itself and that ending didn't make sense at all. Is it about facing your fears?

Oh no, nothing like VHS or Terrifier. I wouldn't call it scary, but it has a couple of tense and unsettling moments though, and if you like Dakota Fanning, she doesn't disappoint.

I was thinking about watching that movie. Is it scary? Or is it like V/H/S Halloween or those movies with Art the Mime?
