When I saw the ad for "The Forest", I, too, remembered "Grave Halloween" and wondered why they bothered making this. I honestly was entertained by the low-budget film. I'm watching "The Forest" right now on HBO On Demand and think it stinks! I'm glad that I'm seeing it for free.
The lead is a horrible actress! I've never seen her before; perhaps she does better in another role. She looks as if she studied at the Kristen Stewart School of (Non-)Acting, scowls and all.
However, I must say that I expected zero from this film since the trailer looked extremely dull.

Yeah just watched it again last night before i watched this pile of tripe and although it wasnt a great movie it beat this movie hands down - we still have Sea Of Trees to watch so hopefully it will be better.
Both forests were not very convincing either one set in Canada and the other in this one in Serbia!

I rented it at the video store last year. Habul is right. Grave Halloween did it first.

SyFy channel this month. It's on now but the will replay it since it's the 31 days of Halloween thing

I saw it on one of the movie channels. If you do a search on the telly you may find it. Or you could look for an online version. It's entertaining but not the best of movies.
