I don't find Josh likable at all but I could just feel all the wind leave his sails when the grandfather jumped on him for abandoning Colton (a rude and unwarranted attack - it was "advice" not to do "same" the new child, and angry feedback about a wrong not committed), then Mora reveals they knew about Colton.
I felt for him because I hated the GFather right away, I just hate people like that - religious types, holier-than-thou, assuming their position as head of some church I couldn't care less about allows him to advise the rest of humanity on how to live (one of the built-in "horrors" of Christianity (Born Agains specifically) is the requirement to "witness" - a command from "God" NOT to mind their own friggin business.

He's not a grandfather, he's Colton's adoptive father.
