.that I'm beginning to wonder if it is real.
I can't remember if it was a man or a woman, but this person was jogging down a street in a neighborhood and there is something bad happening at a neighbor's house and the neighbor does things like tying the person up and beating up the person, and probably a lot more than that. The person is jogging on the beach. And this is all I can remember.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I got the book from the library and I'm reading the whole thing again. The thing I like best about The Gingerbread Girl is that it is not out of the realm of possibility. It's like stabbing. I usually cover my eyes when someone in a movie is being stabbed or sliced. I could conceivably get stabbed, more likely than shot, falling from a high rise or a cliff, or being eaten by zombies.

Manny, you rock!!!! I would never have come up with this! I was kinda thinking Stephen King had something to do with it, but that was as far as I got. I thank you so much!! You are brilliant!

Sounds like "The Gingerbread Girl" by Stephen King. But it could probably be something else just as easily.
