In the final episode of the 2nd series there's a graduation ceremony for Manchester University students. This location should be in Manchester (they are always in the city in which the university is located) . However, the location used for these scenes is actually The Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. I know this place inside out and it's definitely The Liverpool Philharmonic Hallthat's a pretty big oops for the BBC!!

Maybe it wasn't an oops. Maybe the production company couldn't get permission to use the venue they wanted or maybe it was cheaper to film those scenes in Liverpool.
The city I live in is always being used for filming but if permissions or costs become an issue they just move somewhere else and call it artistic licence.
