I thought it was kind of like on Desperate Housewives where a neighbor narrates. I could be wrong, I think I only watched that show a couple of times. But I do think it gives a good perspective.

The "we" and "us" and "our" thing threw me off at first! But now I get that they're presenting each story as if the narrator lives/lived in that particular neighborhood as everything was happening.

I keep hoping Fatal Encounters will be coming back but so far I haven't heard anything. I hope FTN runs all summer. So glad they didn't say "season finale" for next week's preview tonight! It's definitely one of ID's most intense, suspenseful but also tragically sad shows ever.

I like fatal encounters as well. Do you know if they are making any new ones? I haven't seen it in the lineup in a while.

Yes she uses the "we" form of narration in every episode I have seen so far. It fooled me at first as well. But I do like her narration overall. It fits very well with the weighty subject matter. In fact, she sounds like the narrator for the show "Fatal Encounters" a show I very much hope returns.

She is listed in the end credits as Tish Iceton.
I saw most of the "Lake of Madness" episode on a repeat airing. I thought it was odd how the narrator kept saying "we" when referring to the people of that town, as in something like "the shootings affected our town, something that we would never have expected to happen here." (That's paraphrasing, not exact words from the narration.) That's why I wondered if the narrator had been one of the residents there. But she wasn't.
She is a voiceover artist and also a Toronto radio host.
