At the end of season 4 they showed Vecna corrupting the upside down where demos and mindflayers were just regular everyday happy wildlife. Now they completely change their minds and say the mindflayer was corrupting Vecna since he was a kid. Stupid woke bullshit.
And almost 100% of my fairly limited knowledge about D&D comes from the Baldur's Gate series or that movie from a couple years ago so if even someone like me sees a lot of flaws in their D&D explanations then their research team is really ****.
I did think the epilogue bit at the end was nice at least. Even though everything else was a mess.
