I don't understand the motivation behind the creation of Logan's character. He's too spineless to stand up to his dad about this marriage, so he gleefully has an affair with Rory, and he surrounds himself with literally the worst group of people imaginable. The I'm rich attitude of buying businesses just to shut down everyone's good time and be the center of attention is douche-baggery on a different level.
Driving drunk around around town, talking down to regular people, there's nothing likable or even enjoyable about Logan's entire existence.

People should watch Matt's interview he did yesterday with AOL. He does an excellent job of explaining how he portrays Logan and discussing the revival. He is a great actor.

But she does not want him. I cannot go with fanfiction. I saw Logan and Rory. There was nothing on Rory's side to suggest that she sees him in romantic light. So, she does not want him is the bottom line.

I agree with you compleately.
Now that I'm thinking about the show again Jess does seem to pop up right when Rory needs to be pushed or encouraged. Out of Rory's three past boyfriends Jess does seem like the best match for her.

I disagree Logan challenged Rory, could keep up with her and didn't always tell her what she wanted to hear. He brought her out of her shell as well. Jess was good at season 6 before that he bailed on Rory repeatedly. Jess was almost never around where as Logan was with Rory for her most solid and mature relationship. He actually knew her and spent quality time with her as an adult. Yeah Jess got Rory to go back to Yale. But Logan knew Rory would go back in her own time. She was stubborn and he knew it was a phase. She would go back in her own time as he said she loved school. He knew pressuring her wasn't going to work because he didn't like to be pressured by his family. I thought it was random that Jess gave Rory the book idea. This whole he knows her better than anyone story is far fetchedthey hadn't seen each other in 4 years and before that they didn't see each other much. They actually shouldn't be as close as it is portrayed. They dated in high school and then see each other infrequently. Rory chooses the relationships she wants and how serious she wants it. The ball was in her court this time with Logan, and she agreed to the arrangement. She should of told Logan she still loved him. Like I said Logan would of married her once why wouldn't he again? But unless he knew Rory's feelings he had no reason to change his own personal life. I think he was settling personally because he didn't have any reason to think otherwise.

Did he not listen to her problems? Surprise her with gifts and himself often, treat her friends and family with respect? Support her decisions? Please tell me what he did that makes you think that Rory was so much better than him. I said he was nothing short of perfect because he was. What did he do in season 7 that you disagreed with? He made a bad business decision yes but it happens to the best of them on occasion and he learned a valuable lesson. Rory wasn't perfect and neither was Logan but I would
Take Logan over Rory any day but that's just me. Rory's life at 32 would have been exponentially better if she had married Logan.

So I can't say anything bad about her or that means I'm judging her? I watched the last three seasons of the show because I didn't care to see the rest of it. Was Logan entitled? Yeah but he always treated others with respect for the most part unless he was having a bad day, and he went out on his own to make a name for himself because he didn't want to ride the huntsberger train. What did he really do that showed he was entitled? The fact that he liked to have fun sometimes? It's not like he went around demanding things from people and treating them like beep He was always very kind to Rory's family and friends. At least Logan didn't look down on her like she did on him. She ranted at him about all of the opportunities he had that he was blowing yet she had very similar opportunities that she turned her nose up at not to mention that she didn't try to understand that she saw them as opportunities but he saw it as being pushed into a life he didn't want. Not everyone wants the same things as her. Maybe he was interested in something other than newspapers. We saw him do well enough once he doing what he wanted.

Maybe you should watch the show before commenting these things because its like you watched a completely different show. You clearly don't know what rory was like before logan or you wouldn't say that that entitled jack ass "could do a lot better than rory". Also, you're gonna have a very shallow life if you think a man that is nothing short of perfect is "rich, good looking, ambitious".
Oh, and you calling out rory for beingg judgmental is rich after what you just posted about her

Jess was always moody and rude and just generally was a brat when he was with Rory as far as I can tell. I only
Watched a few episodes when Rory was dating him and he didn't seem like a good guy at all. He was pissed at Logan for acting like a jealous ass but yet he was the exact same way with dean. again, your blaming Rory's actions on Logan. I always thought Logan could do a lot better than Rory. Season 7 he was nothing short of perfect. He was rich, good looking, ambitious and he always went out of his way to do things for Rory. Rory had nothing going on with her life after she finished Yale. She was usually judgemental and really wasn't all that pretty. Look at them 10 years later, Logan is successful living in London and she doesn't even have a home or a job.

Rory was at her worst when she was with Logan (dropping out of yale, fighting with her mom, losing her drive and ambition, being a home wrecker, cheating on her boyfriend, relying on others to get things done). If "letting her be who she is going to be" is inspiring her to be her worst self then yes, he did that.
Jess was always the one that inspired her to follow HER own dreams, ever since that conversation they had in her car about her wanting to be a journalist. He just gives her the push she needs. He is clearly a great influence on her without wanting to change her and she is on him too. I can't believe some people can't see this when its so obvious

Not really. Logan always tried to make her feel better when she was upset but he never tried to hold her hand and guide her where she needed to be. He let her be who she was going to be and loved her for who she was.

Logan was more of an equal partner to her where as Jess and her had a dynamic where someone was always taking care of the other.
I think it is the other way around. Logan always try to take care of Rory (even in the revival, he handed over her a key even she did not mention needing a place), that is probably why she stays at arm's length from him.

Rory needs to learn to be more independent and in control of her life not rely on Jess to tell her what she's doing wrong and to save her. Logan was more of an equal partner to her where as Jess and her had a dynamic where someone was always taking care of the other.

If Logan had tried pushing her to go back to school she would have treated him like Lorelei. It only worked for Jess because she hadn't seen him in awhile and he didn't understand what happened so it was more powerful for him showing up and seeing all of the changes in her life. She wouldn't listen to anyone close to her including Logan. Logan has always let Rory live her own life and make her own decisions because he felt like he never got to do that because of his dad.

I believe I was the one who said that he would have married her if she indicated that she wanted to, but because she didnt he proceeded to be ok with making her the other woman.
At the end of the day, jess, beep that he was grew up. He understood exactly what Rory needed. He gave her the motivation to go back and finish school. When shes down and out he gives her the idea to write the book thats flowing out of her. Jess gets rory and understands her. Logan has never understood rory. Is Logan a nice guy. Is he nice to her? sure. But he doesnt understand her. Instead of pushing and saying the right things to get her to go back to school he just lets her party. "I'll take care of you". Instead of telling Rory that he loves her and wants to marry her he agrees to this relationship of dont ask dont tell. If Rory were to stay with Logan she would wake up one day hating herself because she let her entirely life go by and let Logan take care of her. Thats exactly what she does when she breaks up with him the final time. I dont think Logan is a bad guy hes just absolutely not right for Rory.
Jess on the other hand.. Always seems to turn up right when she needs him to get her back on track.

Totally agree with you! I think Amy and Dan in general ignored the strong character evolutions Rory and Logan had as a couple in season 7 because they didn't write that
Matt is a great actor and plays Logan well. I think that if Rory was honest about her feelings for him in Fall he would of committed again, I mean he wanted to marry her. His engagement was probably influenced by his family. But if he knew how Rory felt he would of ended things. I personally don't think Logan ever had a problem standing up to his family, and was always the first to put them down. He left his dad in season 7 to go on his own career pathbut see again Amy and Dan paid no attention to season 7.
Agreed the Team Jess peeps give him a pass for being smart and good looking, not far off from Logan.

Yes and no.
Matt did a wonderful job with making Logan likable enough. He's the guy you wanna hang out with and the guy you wanna punch.
I like Logan, he's not an easy character, but he's definitely not forgettable. Second best male, after Richard. He was also full of flaws, but he the acting made him more likeable.
As for other comments, i think Jess gets a pass for being good looking cos is not even relevant to the show yet people want to see him with Rory. They dated for few months. In high school
