I get why they might have ended it that way with Logan being her Christopher and Jess is her Luke, but I also feel like they did a huge disservice to all the fans. This is supposed to be for closure and I don't feel any closure with the series. I get that it's supposed to be real life blah blah blah, but this is still a show and you couldn't just give us a good show to end on?
I was really disappointed that Rory and Jess hardly interacted. Even if they still wanted him to play out the Luke role they didn't give the fans anything! So disappointing. And the fact about Rory having no care about being the other woman. She seemed to have ZERO emotion about cheating on her boyfriend and being the other woman, which I feel is so unrory like. Frankly, she didn't seem to have much care or emotion for anyone in her life.
And that musical! What was the point of that? I skipped that entire part because I could already tell it would contribute nothing to the plot. I just DONT GET what the point of a revival to give a show closure doesn't give you ANY closure!? I feel it was a given lorelai and luke would get married, but it's like they left rory in the same place they did at the end of the show.

Yes. The entire situation and Rory's response to it made her look like a complete witch and likewise, made Logan look like a jerk.

True but she also seemed to feel remorse for the whole thing which led us to believe it was a one time thing because it was Dean, her first love. You could tell she felt bad when she saw Deans wife stressing out about how to make a roast for Dean. It made her more human.
This time around it was just like Odette was an annoyance to her and she was just being a jerk and threw a fit when she moved in with Logan.

Yeah, but she was 19 back then, and it was a one time thing.

Well Rory was the other woman before - back when she was sleeping with Dean while he was married.

To me it felt like Jess was over Rory. Because she's not his Rory anymore. And he did seem disappointed.
People like Rory exist. They read a lot and seem good conversationalists. But they don't have any original thoughts sooner or later, it shows. Jess is far more intelligent than her. He must know this by now.
I swear I could see him think "I'm not watering down my gene pool with that loon". Or maybe that was just me thinking that

They hinted at it. I think it's more of the girl who got away not necessarily pining still. But also a good point is them regressing Rory's character so she could be Lorelei. Rory was always on track to be the opposite of Lorelei and now they just make her end up in the same spot? Talk about no growth.

I really don't get the "Luke" vibe from Jess.
Did he still have feelings for Rory? Possibly. They never made it seem to me that he would be sticking around in Stars Hollow though. I don't see Jess pining for her for over 15 years.

The musical sucked. I get that it describes how bizarre Stars Hollow is, but in reality, it was just a way for Sutton Foster to get a role.
