Age eleven seems to be the big growth spurt year for girls with boys a year or two later. It has been true of my two granddaughters one who is now 11½.
Elle Fanning is an extreme example: (bio trivia)
At ages 11-12 she had an intense growth spurt, where she grew seven inches in a year and a half.
Elle is 5'9" and older sister Dakota 5'4".
