Has Chuck Lorre publicly discussed the long term series plan for TV series Young Sheldon?
Like with all series, preteen kids grow up and once they hit the teenage stage of life, audience loose interest. Name a series that is centered around kids, it jumps the shark when there is no one in the cast under the age of 13. Young Sheldon will have this problem in 2021.
Also, the Sheldon's dad dies within 4 years of the current show time line. This problem could be overlooked for 1-2 years by suggesting time is moving more slowly in the series than it is in reality. The problem is suggesting that the kids on the show are not aging, when clearly they are maturing rapidly. I suppose they could have him die, and write him out of the series, or just ignore the time line created in TBBT. Hell, if they adopt Soap Opera rules, anything is possible.

Being that this show takes place in the early to mid 90’s I feel it could use Mr. Horton from Diff’rent Strokes to spice it up. By then Mr. Horton would likely have gotten out of prison in New York and would want a fresh start in a place like Texas. He could open a little bicycle shop in Sheldon’s town with Dudley. I’m betting his interactions with Sheldon would be hysterical! I hope this happens.

Well it does fit the timeline, however the mid 80's meemaw we see in the big bang theory seems less hip to drinking and gambling and is very manipulative and passive agressive

my main problem with this show has always been seeing annie potts look 60 years old. i refuse to accept her looking like an old completely unattractive grandma.
bc i grew up watching her looking very beautiful and very hot in the '80s in movies like who's harry crumb? and ghostbusters.
i refuse to accept her looking old and ugly. its really depressing seeing her look so old and ugly.
dont know why she is living with sheldon and his family when she is his grandma? do they have to put her in so much of this show? she ruins the show bc of this.

which happened bc the show has now been on for 5 years! a very long time for a sitcom so chuck has to deal with this next season at the latest for the time line to make sense and be realistic considering it happened when sheldon was between the ages of 13 and 14
and when the show started he was 9 in 2017 so do the math 5 years later he's now 14.
so season 6 it will happen.

I guess there is nothing wrong with Goerge dying. I like the character and would miss him. It is almost certain that the show's producers (Chuck Lorre) have a plan to deal with it if the show continues for several more seasons.

I actually heard for Stranger Things season 5 that since Sadie Sink, Millie Bobby Brown, Natalia Dyer and Gaten Matarazzo are now adults, they're going to recast a brand new teen cast.
We don't talk about Bruno! No, no, no!

well the show is still going a year after the 2021 thing you said. and what is wrong with showing his dad dying?
yeah the kids are really growing rapidly lately geez did you see sheldon in the last 2 years? and his sister grew about 2 years in 1 year in season 3 or 4.
i think the show could go for 10 years but maybe i'm wrong bc of the fact that this show is centered around kids under teenage years.
this problem of kids growing up is why they usually cast actors who are as young as they can find them on sitcoms and drama tv shows. so like 8 years old maybe even 5 years old.
