I didn't see the beginning.
Mostly caught the last quarter or so.
Do they explain why there are no underground survival bunkers/shelters like that closer here in N. America?

I found it ironic that the big one ended hitting really close to Greenland. That would've made for a bleak ending if all those bunkers had ended up wiped out.
So many stories, so little time.
