I honestly never knew it was a thing until tiktok. I'd only ever clean the hair out of it when I'd notice it needs doing lol.
Anyway, so I've been submerging it in water and cleaning it and whatnot and I'm convinced it has stopped my hair from growing as fast. It seems a bit more dry and frizzy too.
Stop washing your hairbrushes if you want your hair to grow. The oils built up on it are good for it. Gross but true. Trust me.
