I think this one is fairly well known, so I'm hoping someone will recognize it even though I can't remember much about the film. As best as I can recall, it goes something like this:
-The two main characters are police officers who are partnered together. The younger one, a handsome blonde(?) guy, somehow gets super powers. IIRC, he's faster/stronger/whatever than a normal human. He's also almost indestructible. His "weakness" is that the color red somehow saps him of his powers.
-There's a scene where the superhuman cop is in the electric chair (trumped up charge or something). A woman, who is one of the bad guys, shows up wearing red. The guy somehow gets out of it, and the movie ends up being a happy ending down the road.
That's all I can remember. Like I said, I think this one is fairly well known or a cult classic. And I think the cop with superhuman powers is/was a fairly big star in Italian film. I just can't remember the title of the movie to save my life.
Any guesses?
