Golden milk is a traditional Ayurvedic drink made with turmeric root or ground turmeric, milk, black pepper and oil.
Turmeric (curcumin) only works really well with pepper and oil or ghee.
Originally made with cow’s milk, it can also be made with plant-based and dairy-free milk like almond and coconut.
In most recipes it's also mixed in with other good ingredients like ginger root or ground ginger.
Though it's totally optional, it can be sweetened with unrefined sugars like honey or maple syrup.
https://foolproofliving.com/turmeric-golden-milk/
Method #1 Golden Milk with Fresh Turmeric
2 ½ cups milk
2 inches of sliced fresh turmeric root
1 inch sliced fresh ginger root
½ teaspoon of coconut oil (or ghee)
A pinch of black pepper
A tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (optional)
Method #2 Golden Milk with Ground Turmeric or Turmeric Powder
2 ½ cups milk
1 ½ teaspoons ground turmeric powder
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon of coconut oil (or ghee)
A pinch of black pepper
A tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (optional)
Method # 3 Golden Milk with Turmeric Paste
If you are interested in making Golden Milk a daily habit, then this method is for you.
The golden paste is made by mixing ground turmeric powder with oil (i.e. coconut oil), black pepper, water, and other spices like ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon.
You simply make a jar of it, keep it in the fridge and it's available every day in no time.
Coffee with cinnamon sounds great!
I don't mind being corrected.
My wife does it all the time.
Your wife probably has german roots.

I love Turmeric and Ginger Root.
Such great inflammatory herbs.
You mean
anti-inflammatory
.
However, I always skip the ginger root…simply don't like the taste.
The Golden Milk tastes really good, even without ginger.
Off topic
Coffee with a little cinnamon tastes great too.
Add the ground cinnamon to the coffee filter.
Cinnamon sprinkles in milky coffee look like mini fleas.
