We are the only species that drink milk from another species, and continue to do so after being weaned from our mothers. Drinking cow milk is unnatural and it's not healthy. The benefits of calcium and Vitamin-D are often touted, but there's minimal nutritional benefit. There are far better ways to take nutrients in.
Cow milk also causes the human body to produce thicker mucous. This production is unhealthy for the lungs and it contributes to clogging the lymphatic system. Thick and sticky mucous can affect breathing (via both the lungs and sinus cavities).
There's also lactose to consider. One can be intolerant or allergic, regardless, it can be avoided by not consuming dairy. The proteins in dairy contribute to gas. Whole milk is loaded with saturated fat and cholesterol. Cholesterol is tricky because our blood levels do not correlate precisely with the cholesterol ingested. Certain foods will increase blood cholesterol simply by ingesting them.
We can all always say our parents, grandparents, etc., drank milk for years and were just fine. They used to also smoke cigarettes, use mercurochrome, drink several alcohol drinks nightly and use lead paint everywhere.
