I use the oven with air fryer technology. As Margo said, it's small, so if you're cooking for people other than yourself, it might not cut it. For example, I need to use it 3 or 4 times to cook a bag of frozen fries.

Not necessarily. I suppose it all depends on what you want it for, and how often you use it. We use ours at least four times a week, if not more. The oven type seemed smaller, and it seemed that we were limited when it came to the food we wanted to cook. Our large basket model seems to cook more evenly and better than the oven type we started out with.
That's just how I feel about it though. You may feel differently.
If you are trying to decide, check out some people who cook with them on YouTube. I wish we had done that before we made our first purchase.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Interesting. So you think its better to just have a separate air fryer rather than one that can also be used as a regular oven?

We tried the oven type. We didn't like it much. We ended up replacing it with a large basket type. It's more versatile. I air fry chicken, fries, veggies, even bake brownies. We like it. It cooks faster, and yet, it doesn't dry things out.
One other thing… When reheating pizza, it only takes a few minutes. The pizza tastes just like it is when it's freshly baked… Nothing like after you try heating it in the microwave.

I would mostly be cooking veggies in it. I found an air fryer that's also a toaster oven and convection oven which seems like a good purchase. I figure if I don't like the air fryer feature I can always use it for other stuff.

I've never really bothered with one before, but I was telling my dad a story I read ages ago about a young boy who tipped a hot fryer onto himself and scarred half of his face and scalp. The next time I saw my dad he brought me an air fryer. Chips taste funny cooked in it tbh, but I use it to cook popcorn chicken in now and then.
