Keep in mind that, just because something originates from a country, it doesn't mean the country is the best at making it. Sure, people say that
It
a
ly
has the best ice cream (it's said to have originated during the Roman Empire). However, I read that the
C
h
inese
were maybe the first ones to eat ham as we know it today. Yet, a lot of people say that the best one is in
Sp
a
in
.
Also, the question isn't
just
about prepared drinks and dishes. For example,
C
h
ile
is said to have the best wine, while
Ge
rma
ny
is said to have the best beer.

I agree with some of this. I love the South American wines, especially those very dry Cabernet Sauvignon's, and think they can compare to French and Italian wines, but not surpass them in quality.
As for those German Rieslings- we have some extremely good ones right here in Michigan. I was pleasantly surprised. Most of our wineries are owned by experts who trained in Europe, and who have imported European stock, and we have a very unique climate due to Lake Michigan.
And Tokaji- you are completely right there!

Chile wines can be very good, but they cannot compare to the very best France and Italy have to offer. On the other hand, German Rieslings are the finest white wines in the worldavailable in grades, Kabinett, Spatlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese, and Trockenbeerenauslese. Then there is that rare style known as Eisweindepending on the style, the price escalates from Kabinett upwards. For a dessert wine, look no further than Hungary for their storied Tokaji Aszu (Tokay) - 5 puttonyos.
As for beer, the Czech republic produces the very best everyday beer, Belgium is also very good but is more of an acquired taste.

Yeah, he didn't have too good a time there. But not too many people in that movie did!
It was gorgeous. It was cold and overcast when we got there, but by the end of the day it had cleared up and was beautiful. My favorite part of the whole trip.

Absolutely the chocolate! I had the best cup of hot chocolate of my life there. It was cold and drizzly, and we ducked into a little place to warm up. We sat by the fire and ordered the hot chocolate. It came "deconstructed": a cup of steamed milk, little dish of melted dark chocolate sitting on top of the cup, and another little dish containing a whipped cream rosette. Pour the melted into the milk, stir, top with the whipped cream, and enjoy! It also came with four pieces of chocolate to nibble on.
I was so happy to get the hot chocolate that I forgot to take the pic before I poured the chocolate in, and apparently I was too excited about it to get a steady shot!

This ^ , plus the chocolate!!!!
Although Chile makes some decent wines I don't know anyone who considers them the best in the world. Arguably the French take that prize.

In my opinion, the best beer is from Belgium. I want to go back, for a longer period of time, just to drink more beer. Look at how many they brew in their tiny country!

I have heard that the USA has some of the best pizza.
I know a couple people who traveled (one to Italy, one to Ireland) and were rather disappointed with the pizza there.
In fact, even in the States itself, I keep hearing.and hearinghaha that pizza is the best in Connecticut.
That's my home state.
I wonder why pizza is so diffcult to get right, elsewhere!
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
