I do want to try it on strawberries. I just wanted to make sure it was okay to drizzle it on food, right from the bottle and not mix it with anything.

As Greekgirl mentioned, fresh strawberries with a dusting of sugar and a drizzle of Balsamic vinegar is delicious.
Reading this thread makes me think that it would add a little "perk" to a lot of foods. In a recent thread about mustard on grilled cheese sandwiches, I said that I often add some mustard to liven it up. Next time, I'll try a little drizzle of Balsamic, instead.

Some people like it on salads. It's too sweet for me to use on salads. It's also used on Margherita pizzas. I've enjoyed them but a little of it on them is all that I've liked.

I use it on salads mostly, but i also use it in marinades, especially for grilling (fish, veggies, chicken). I also like to use it for chicken and/or veggies that i roast in the oven.

Balsamic and oil is what I usually use for salad dressing. We also make a 5 ingredient sticky balsamic chicken that's very easy and every person that I have served it to has really enjoyed it. This year when I canned my strawberry jam I added a little bit of balsamic and it really brought out a depth to the strawberries.
It's pretty versatile but it's also got a strong flavor so you do have to be careful and add in small increments until you get the flavor you desire.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure it was okay to drizzle it on salads, and have to have be used in a special way.

I don't use it in a special way. I drizzle it on salads, especially caprese salads. I roast Brussels sprouts with it. I mix a little in hamburger meat sometimes. It's good drizzled on pizza, and I know it might sound crazy, but it goes pretty good with fresh strawberries. Of course there's the tried and true dipping crusty bread into balsamic and olive oil.
I went to this awesome place called Oro di Oliva where they had tons of different balsamic vinegar flavors in large urns. You could taste any of them, and while we were doing just that, the guy working there told us that some local bars had been creating cocktails using some of the vinegars. I bet you could find some interesting recipes for drinks.
