Halloween in Australia is growing
It is not our culture. Many people hate it.
FORTUNATELY, after a few years of teething problems, there seems to have grown up a local rule.
' If a house is decorated, they will be open to Halloween, otherwise leave regular people the HELL alone.'
Great stuff.
I used to have to hide behind the lounge and let the dogs out, as it is still light here at this time of year!

I had less than last year. There were about 60 to 70 this year. I still gave out all the candy I had from last year so I don't have any to freeze.

for the first time in about 30 years, ZEROI have 5 bags of chocolate bars:-)

I leave a bowl of candy bars on the front porch with a sign that says to please take one per person.
When i was driving home last night (around 7-ish) there were quite a few people trick or treating all ages from little kids with parents to older kids/teens.
When i got home around 7:30 the bowl was still full. I checked it again around 8:30 and it was still full. By 10 pm it was all gone.
I bought a bag of 36 candy bars. So hopefully one person didn't get greedy and take it all. But either way at least it's all gone.
