True. Inexperienced gym members should be trained how to properly use the equipment to avoid possible injury that could potentially leave them permanently or critically damaged. And if they plan to do the heavy workout, it's probably best if they are supervised by either friends, partners, or trainers. For example, there are videos where a few men and women get their knees bent the wrong way when they did the weight lifting or leg press. That was not pretty and the sound it made when their legs break…..
. If it was me and if there are no trainers available, I'd make sure to watch instruction videos and do the extensive research before attempting to try them or ask the fitness trainer for advice. I'd suggest everyone else to do the same.
Overconfidence can usually bring bad news.

To be fair, we see this in the gym as well, stupid mistakes by people who think they know it all. Mistakes that are so easily remedied and are usually just fixed by very little things.
The biggest tends to be clamps on the ends of the plats of the bars when stacking weights. People forget that or don't want to be bothered. Or not securing the pin when setting the bench. Working with bands, that's always tricking, which is why we have TRX suspension straps that are bolted into beams.
Poor men. Their poor giblets are always getting hammered.
