This is normal. Some of Liliths "clients" (whatever that means) exhibit weight gains of up to 10 pounds and 2 dress sizes as their hearts produce more blood to harden & fortify their muscles on brief walks. Once the heart returns to it's resting bitch face state the heart reabsorbs all the blood and disperses it into the aether from whence it came, where it shall remain until summoned forth by the heart and dark magic once again in dire emergencies, like walking across the living room floor to retrieve a carelessly placed remote. Probably the same thing is happening with Ryan.
That or he's turning into Gollum, like I suspect.
