<p dir="auto">They sell adult diapers in the US, but never are they labeled as diapers–always some euphemism.  I would imagine, is it the same way with adult nappies?<br />

Actually they have quite different derivations.  Diaper comes from the Greek δίασπρος or diaspros  δια- (dia-, “across”) + ἄσπρος (áspros, “white”).  "Nappy" is derived from the word "napkin."<br />

<p dir="auto">I never hear nappy and rash in the same sentence, and since a diaper is the Americanized version of the word nappy.  I thought it would sound a lot better on the screen.</p>
